Bobcat (Felis rufus) scrape

My tracks (size 8 1/2) are highlighted in yellow for size comparison, and Bobcat tracks in pink. Rounded tracks showed no sign of claw marks, typical of cat with retracted claws. Claw marks are easily visible when extracted for scraping. I have seen this sort of sign in Florida many times where the Bobcat is common. I also saw a typical Bobcat scrape with scat about 1.5 miles east of this during the summer of 2001. This was a circular scrape with an elevated pile of sand, pine needles, and leaves, with the scat in the middle.
